šŸŽ‰ Canoa 2024 Fly-In Guest Survey Help Shape Fly-In #4! 🌓

Last year’s Fly-In was one of the best times of my life — and one of the biggest learning curves.

We shared incredible moments like:

šŸŖ‚ Group flights

šŸ†Coco Bingo wins

šŸ¹Coconut bar takeovers

šŸļøšŸŒ™āœØšŸŒŠ and an unforgettable nights under the stars

But... I also made some classic ā€œnew international hotel ownerā€ mistakes. šŸ˜…

(Like… disappearing off into the sunset after the town parade, on horseback.)

Yup — thatĀ happened.

I don’t usually ride horses.... But I was invited to join as a new member of the town on what I thought would be a short parade loop. "Two hours, tops."

Instead, I got the full Ecuadorian experience — shots from cowboys, cheers from locals, a sunset I’ll never forget, and zero idea how I got home.

I reappeared hours later — still on the horse — riding through the Coconut lobby trying to get my horse a drink. šŸŽ + šŸŗ = 🤠

āœ… Dinner? Missed.

šŸ“± Phone? Gone.

šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø Guests? Confused.

šŸ™‡ Chris? Deeply humbled.

I tried so hard to make it all perfect that I almost missed what mattered most

— being part of it.

What will be different this year?

āœ… No construction during the event

āœ… A full team to support the chaos

āœ… Better communication (yes, even when parades happen)

āœ… A grounded, present, actually-here Chris

2025: Better Support, Less Chaos, More Connection

One big improvement this year: I won’t be glued to my phone or running around like a one-man ground crew.Ā  We’ve got a solid team stepping in to handle logistics, coordination, and communication—so I can finally be present with all of you.

We’ll have a dedicated, monitored radio frequencyĀ to keep everyone connected in the air and on the ground. There will always be a support person on launch, ready to help, ballast, and keep things flowing safely.

Most importantly, we’re moving away from the ā€œeveryone fend for yourselfā€ approach and leaning into something better: a true group experience—where everyone feels included, informed, and supported from the first morning coffee to the final firepit toast. šŸ¤™

Whether you were with us last year soaring through the skies, chilling by the firepit, or handing me back my horse — thank you. Your presence, your energy, and your willingness to be part of the magic is what makes this event what it is.

Also, thank you for taking the time to complete this survey — your feedback genuinely shapes how we grow and improve.

I’m learning, evolving, and doing my best to make this year even more connected, inclusive, and unforgettable.

I can’t wait to share the sky (and the beach, bar, and breakfast table) with you again at Fly-In #4. Let’s make it the best one yet.

See you in paradise.Ā šŸŒ“šŸŖ‚šŸ’™
