Last yearās Fly-In was one of the best times of my life ā and one of the biggest learning curves.

We shared incredible moments like:
šŖ Group flights
šCoco Bingo wins
š¹Coconut bar takeovers
šļøšāØš and an unforgettable nights under the stars

But... I also made some classic ānew international hotel ownerā mistakes. š
(Like⦠disappearing off into the sunset after the town parade, on horseback.)
Yup ā thatĀ happened.

I donāt usually ride horses.... But I was invited to join as a new member of the town on what I thought would be a short parade loop. "Two hours, tops."
Instead, I got the full Ecuadorian experience ā shots from cowboys, cheers from locals, a sunset Iāll never forget, and zero idea how I got home.
I reappeared hours later ā still on the horseĀ ā riding through the Coconut lobby trying to get my horse a drink. š + šŗ =Ā š¤

ā Dinner? Missed.
š± Phone? Gone.
š¤·āāļø Guests? Confused.
š Chris? Deeply humbled.
I tried so hard to make it all perfect that I almost missed what mattered most
ā being part of it.
What will be different this year?
ā No construction during the event
ā A full team to support the chaos
ā Better communication (yes, even when parades happen)
ā A grounded, present, actually-here Chris

2025: Better Support, Less Chaos, More Connection
One big improvement this year: I wonāt be glued to my phone or running around like a one-man ground crew.Ā Weāve got a solid team stepping in to handle logistics, coordination, and communicationāso I can finally be present with all of you.
Weāll have a dedicated, monitored radio frequencyĀ to keep everyone connected in the air and on the ground. There will always be a support person on launch, ready to help, ballast, and keep things flowing safely.
Most importantly, weāre moving away from the āeveryone fend for yourselfā approach and leaning into something better: a true group experienceāwhere everyone feels included, informed, and supported from the first morning coffee to the final firepit toast. š¤
